Women's Work is a collaborative public artwork, directed and produced by Sara Foust in 2005, and sponsored by Clare Co Council, HSE, CREATE and Leader/RRD. The multi-media project was inter-generational, involving 9 young women and more than 20 older women from Co Clare, Ireland. Over the course of a year, the women participated in a series of conversations and demonstrations which gave shape and colour to the idea of 'women's work' in all its manifold forms, expanding understandings of the role of women in Ireland historically.
A documentary by filmmaker Fergus Tighe about the Women's Work Project is available on dvd.
